Sunday Drive

On Sunday we decided we would take a drive to see the fall leaves. Unfortunately our drive started out with a little scare when Joe accidentally closed his thumb in the car door. Luckily it wasn't broken and he insisted he was ok to drive and go about our day.

You can't really see it but he has a bandaid on. Poor Joe!
We ended up driving up through part of the Alpine Loop out by Heber City and Park City. The leaves weren't as vibrant as I have seen in the past but it was still a fun time. We did catch a quick glimpse of a waterfall while during the first part of our drive. I know we were supposed to pass Bridal Veil Falls somewhere so maybe that was it. HA HA HA!

The falls snuck up on us. I caught this pic by accident.

Russell took a little nap through the first part of the drive but he usually does well when we drive around unless he's hungry or tired. He loves it when you look at him in the mirror or in this case the camera.
He thinks it's funny when he sees himself in the mirror or in the camera when it is turned around.
Other than our drive I took a nap and played with Russell. We took a walk to the grocery store to pick up some extra sauce for our dinner which was nice. I always love to get a little exercise when I can sneak it in.

Ah there are some beautiful places in UT.

What do you do on Sunday? Do you have any family traditions for your weekend?

We usually do a fall drive to try and catch the leaves every year. The Alpine Loops is a pretty one. We haven't had time to go yet but we're big fans of Sunday drives.
