A New Do and One More Hello Kitty...

Alright so I said it was coming and here it is.  My new haircut!

So that was the before...  My sister-in-law is the manager at a Great Clips here in town.  She's the youngest manager in company history and their store continues to break sales records.  Her staff there is awesome and always friendly and it seems like they're always busy.  She seems to really love what she does and she's always done a good job with my hair.

As you can see my hair was pretty long and I ended up donating 11" of hair to Locks of Love.  While I was there I found out if your hair is long enough to donate you get a free haircut.  WOO!  If it's FREE, it's for ME!  So I said chop off what you need and let's do this thing!

That's a lot of hair!
My SIL snapped this pic on her phone after were were done.  Yep that's my ponytail-o-hair.  My hair definitely isn't as thick as it used to be but hopefully it can help someone feel better.  Here is what you've been waiting for...  The after photo!

Ta-da! Short hair & my Hello Kitty Panda!
And here is where Hello Kitty comes into the picture.  That's my little Hello Kitty in a panda suit.  I saw her at Target one day and had to have her.  I love panda bears and I love Hello Kitty so this was the pinnacle of cute and awesomeness.  Seriously I love it!  Anyway, my hair's a little flat since this was taken after work.  I mean come on I did it almost 12 hours before this picture was taken.  Either way it's cute and I like it.  Plus it's short which is perfect for the 100+ degree weather we're having here in Vegas.

So... If you're in Las Vegas, especially if you live on the west side, you MUST go see my sister-in-law Liz.  She's at the Great Clips on the north east corner of Flamingo and Ft. Apache in the Smith's shopping center.   If she's not available the rest of her staff are great too but if you've got the time I'd still see Liz.  HA HA HA!  She's always done fabulous and is such a perfectionist that I always know she'll do a great job.  The information for her store is below or you can find other locations on their website.

Mon-Fri: 8am-9pm
Sat: 8am-7pm
Sun: 9am-6pm

I'll try to take another pic of my hair once I've got the hang of how to do it.  Liz did my bangs at the store and they were cute but when I tried to do them this morning I looked like I was 12.  Seriously they were just really puffy and funky.  Liz is supposed to help me figure out how to do my hair on Wednesday so we'll see how it goes.

Up next my wedding scrapbook but I might save that for another day.  :)

  1. Heather, your hair looks darling! That is so awesome that you were able to donate it!! (I know I should but I can't part with even more than an inch:) ) You are awesome!!!

  2. Oh my gosh your hair is way too cute!!! I love it! Makes me want to do something fun with my hair now. It is so blah since I haven't had the money to cut or color it since... well your wedding? What are we going on? Your six month anniversary yet? HAHA. Well keep up the cuteness Moto! HUGS!!!

  3. Thanks Chris! It was fun to do something different with my hair and I'm finding it to be REALLY versatile. I've done it different every day this week. It's lots of fun!

Let's see we're on 4 months married now. WOO! It's been fabulous and doesn't even seem like that much. We still have fun Joe is as fabulous as ever.

Miss you tons and glad we got to chat the other day. HUGS!!!

  4. Very cool friend. I am at the crossroads right now. Do I cut my hair short, like I like it.... or.... do I grow it out long again and donate it to Locks of Love? That is the question my friend! Your hair is darling :) Hope all is going well!

  5. Hey Mecqae! Glad to see you stopped by! I need to update again but it was nice to see your comment here. I totally feel you on the hair debate. I'm always between just chopping it short or letting it grow. Usually I end up letting it grow then chopping it all off. HA! I was glad I was able to donate my hair this time around. I'll probably do the same thing so I can donate again. All is well here and I hope the same is for you. HUGS!!!
