Adventures in Food - French Steakhouse

This is Joe...
This is me...
This is the view from our table at Mon Ami Gabi.  Joe got us reservations here for dinner for my birthday.  We of course celebrated early because Joe works nights so we couldn't actually go out on my birthday.  Which worked out ok because some friends are meeting for sushi tomorrow...
These were pics of our yummy food.  We got baked cheese, a cheese tray and then there was dinner.  We had amazing steak!  I had the Filet Mignon Au Poivre and Joe had the New York Strip Steak.  Both come with their fabulously cool Frites.  YUM!
And these are our yummy desserts we got.  Chocolate Mouse with fresh whipped cream and Bananas Foster Crepe.  The Crepe was amazing good.  It looks like it's swimming in caramel which it was but the caramel was perfection.  It was rich and full of flavor but so light and delish!  I could have swam in that plate.  It was so good!

The night was amazing and we had such a good time.  I definitely recommend going there at least once if you can.  It's not cheap but the experience is well worth it.  The servers really know their stuff and the quality of food is excellent.  My steak was perfectly done and just melted in your mouth.  I ate every last bite of it.  I am incredibly picky when it comes to meat and usually trim off every last speck of fat or yuckiness but here I didn't have to do a thing.  Everything looked amazing.  AHHH!!!  So good!

Plus while we were there we saw a guy get tackled by the cops.  The whole patio was on their feet and cheered when the cops got the guy.  Hilarious!  Free entertainment.  What more can you ask for.  :)  It was great though and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life who plans such fun things.
